Prayer Blanket Ministry

• Eligible recipients can be any adult or child who needs comfort due to issues such as chronic illness, chemotherapy, facing or recovering from surgery, bereavement, loss of job, and family problems.

• Recipients don't have to belong to our parish, but the requester must be a parishioner.

• To keep requests confidential, please contact Sue Laity or Karen Marceau and they will process your request & delivery will be arranged with the person making the request.

• There is never a charge for a prayer blanket. Prayer Blanket Ministry volunteers donate their time and materials to lovingly craft each blanket which will be blessed at Mass.

Parishioners wishing to get involved can do so by:

• Requesting a blanket for someone in need.

• Participating in the creative process: cutting fabric, sewing, providing finishing touches – either at communal work sessions or home.

• Donating 100% cotton fabric or gift cards from Hobby Lobby to cover the cost of materials. Please contact the facilitators for special criteria for donating supplies. 

• We're always looking for people who know how to use a sewing machine and can sew using a pattern.
