Blessed Prayer Blankets
The Women of Mary (WoM) Prayer Blanket Ministry creates lap-size blankets to give to adults and children who are hurting in some way. They’re a sign of the love and prayerful support from our parish. Once a prayer blanket is requested by a parishioner, the blanket is blessed at Mass.

Ways to Volunteer
Parishioners wishing to get involved can do so by:
- Requesting a blanket for someone in need (refer to guidelines)
- Participating in the creative process: cutting fabric, tying fleece blankets, sewing, crocheting, knitting, providing finishing touches – either at communal work sessions or home
- Donating fabric, yarn, or gift cards from Hobby Lobby to cover the cost of materials. Please contact the facilitators for special criteria for donating supplies.

Prayer Blanket GuidelinesWho may receive a prayer blanket?
- Eligible recipients can be any adult or child, who needs comfort because of chronic illness, chemotherapy, facing or recovering from surgery, or bereavement.
- Recipients don't have to belong to our parish but the requester must be a parishioner.
How may I request a prayer blanket?- You must be a parishioner in our parish to request a prayer blanket for someone but the recipient doesn't have to belong to our parish.
- To keep requests confidential, please contact Jan Kampsen. Jan will process your request & delivery will be arranged with the person making the request.
