Hidden in the midst of March and surrounded by the purple of Lent is a reminder of St. Joseph. His feast day emphasizes his role as provider and protector in the Holy Family.
We will celebrate together a few days before the Feast Day by attending Sunday Noon Mass on March 15th and watching a short St. Joseph Playlet - "St. Joseph This is Your Life!" from some of our 3rd-grade students (about 1:15 PM). A Lenten Soup Lunch will then follow in the Activity Center. Just as St. Joseph opened his home to Mary, we invite EVERYONE to join our feast and celebration! Our guest speaker, following lunch, will be John Dzwonkowski. Presenting a very informative afternoon about St. Joseph, the Husband of Mary, John will engage us with stories about a vital man whose life took a very strange turn. John Dzwonkowski is the retired DRE of St. Priscilla Parish of Livonia and the founder of Scripture onStage, a Drama Ministry. There is a Sicilian tradition of the “St. Joseph’s Table”. Join us on this day when we share our feast of food and entertainment. We will also take collections of food for Active Faith. We are all invited to open our hearts, just like St. Joseph. NOW THAT’S A CELEBRATION!!!
